The Tea on Working Together.

While I reside in South Carolina, you don’t have to! Currently I offer services virtually, via secure video platform. Get dressed up, stay in your jammies, it’s all good! I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide you with a SuperBill that you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement.

Insurance.

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, this does not mean you may not be able to use your insurance! Please contact your health insurance and ask the following questions:

  1. “Do you cover out of network dietitian services?”

  2. “Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a dietitian?”

  3. “Do I need prior approval to see a dietitian?”

  4. “Do you cover only specific diagnoses codes?”

  5. “How many sessions do you cover with a dietitian?”

  6. “Do you cover dietitian services via Telehealth?”

If this option works, we can provide you with something called a “superbill” that you submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

Pricing.

Initial Appointment - $190.

Includes one initial 75 minute appointment, a thorough nutrition assessment, tailored one-on-one nutrition coaching via telehealth, and an after visit summary via the client portal mapping our roadmap for working together, resources, and between session assignments.

Follow Up Appointment - $130.

Includes one 45 minute follow up appointment, tailored one-on-one nutrition coaching, an after visit summary via the client portal including updated planning, resources, and between session assignments.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

●      You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

●      Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

●      If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

●      Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
